Our Story

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which

God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10)

Our story started with a love for God and passion for his Word. Tommy Colin, a worship leader living in Finland and working on Christian TV, received the calling to create a TV program focused on the worship of God. Following this vision, he started to interview inspired worship leaders dedicated to serve God through their music.

We were soon invited to join mission trips worldwide and make the TV program in different countries.

This is where our missionary work started, participating in crusades, preaching in worship music festivals, and encouraging the local churches. During our travels, we realized that the guests of our program had initiated charity projects in their community and often needed help. So, we teamed up to create an organization that would support TV programs, mission trips, and charity on a bigger scale.

When we started, little did we know that God had prepared these different activities for us to do. But looking at it today, we realize it is the gospel in action in our lives. We learn to know God and study His Word, we share the Kingdom of Heaven with the nations, and minister to people in need through charity.

Our Mission

Good News is a Finnish non-profit organization whose mission is to:

Foster Christian values and lifestyle found in the gospel, based on love, care, justice, charity, empowerment and service.
Share and study the gospel at home and abroad.
Be involved in charity projects that support education, poverty relief, diversity, and sustainable development.

At Good News, we believe that with faith, boldness, and creativity, there is nothing we can’t accomplish.

GOSPEL & WORSHIP
"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Rom 5:1)
Our mission is to bring the good news of the gospel to all nations, and a way to deliver this message is through media, this is why we to produce TV programs. We have a specific focus on worship as worship is an essential part to the believer's life and a central theme in the Bible.

LOVE
"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:12-13)
Another part of our mission is to be in the field by joining mission trips. It is important to us, to be there in person, meet the local churches, and express our love to the people. We want to show our support, build relationships and encourage them through our messages and prayers.

JUSTICE
"Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations" (Isa 42:1)
The third part of our mission is to bring forth justice. A way to do it is to use our strengths and skills to take care of people's needs and build them up. It includes education, relief of poverty, protection of disabled people, or development aid. We partner with believers involved in charity projects and support them in the best way we can.
